Rotary Cricket at D3270 District Conference

Every year District 3270 organises a cricket fellowship match before
district conference.   This year's game was played at the Karachi Gymkhana
Cricket Ground on Friday 4th April 2008.   This was the site for the first

The morning was very pleasant with a temperature of about 20 degrees
celsius.  The two teams, one from south and other from north, played a
Twenty/20 match.  The North team was captained by Sajid Bhatti and the
South was led by Anees from Karachi.

Ismail was judged to be the best batsman, Hassan Gallani the best bowler,
Jawad Sarwana the best fielder while Man of the Match was Rtn. Shahbaz.

Recognitions were also given for the oldest player Rtn. Mirza Abbas and the
youngest player Abdul Razzaq,

All awards were made at a ceremony at an evening meeting of the conference
by RI Director Elect Rtn. Ravi Ravendra from Sri Lanka  who was present at
the Colombo 5th IFCR  festival in August 2007.

A number of new members were inducted into  Pakistan IFCR and it was
announced that an international cricket matche would be held at Lahore
Gymkhana in March 2009.  Invitations will be issued to all IFCR member
