IFCR GB & I Committee
Chairman IFCR, GB&I
Keith Hopkins FCA (wife Mary)
Man of Kent who moved to Scotland in 1978 and has now lived over half his life there. (Quality is great and we don’t tell too many to keep the rest away !!)
Played cricket for Strathmore CC at Forfar and still plays a few games as time and golf permits. Has been on all IFCR World Festivals and was involved before IFCR started. Have been to South Africa (1990), West Indies (1994 – saw Lara score 300+ in Test v England), England (1997 First festival), India (1999 – captain), New Zealand (2001), Australia (2004), India (2006). Every tour has been different and very, very enjoyable.
Married to Mary, who has been on all the tours as well. She would highly recommend these tours to the ladies as there is great participation and you get to see the hospitality close at hand. “We are so well looked after, it is a great credit to our hosts.”
Have 3 children, one who now plays but not the girls!
I bat a bit, keep wicket badly and my bowling is getting worse as I can’t get it over! There’s a salutary lesson for us all.
I would strongly recommend the Fellowship to you if you have any interest whatsoever in cricket as a player (however good or bad), as an umpire (always bad), as a scorer or just a spectator (what better than to sit in the sun with a cold beer and watch as we thrash the Aussies!). Come and join us.

IFCR World Chairman
Mike Jackson (wife Carol)
A “60 year young”, overweight, cricketing enthusiast, who is still playing regular cricket for his club in the regional division of the Hampshire league, and for the XL Cricket Club.
Started playing at school in Singapore and Kent. Played for the Old Anchorians in Kent Club cricket before leagues were even thought of by soft southerners.
Moved to Hampshire in the 70’s and played club cricket in the Hampshire leagues. Wicketkeeper and top order batsman, who has scored a few centuries, but can still remember them all! So there are not that many.

Phil has been a cricket fanatic since a schoolmaster found he could keep wicket when aged 8. He has been very fortunate in his cricket career having played at all levels up to County 2nd XI, and all around the world.
Nowadays his knees & his eyesight, mean that he struggles to compete, but that does not stop him playing Rotary cricket & the odd club game.
Phil is past President of Ludlow Rotary Club, where he has been a member since 1995.
Recently retired as MD of a national mail order company, which markets womens’ clothing, most of the styles having been designed by Louise.
Outside work and Rotary, Phil plays Competition Duplicate Bridge, Golf and rides his horse. Now some three stone heavier than his prime fighting weight. Gym and swimming are necessities.
